Charles Newcomer, O.D.

 

Dr. Charles Newcomer is a Georgia native, originally from Commerce, GA, who graduated from Athens Academy in 2013.

He attended The University of Southern Mississippi, and worked at The Optometric Clinic in Hattiesburg, MS. There he discovered his passion for optometry and serving the community. In 2017, he graduated Cum Laude with a major in Biological Science and a minor in Chemistry. He went on to obtain his professional training from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Following his training in Memphis, Dr. Newcomer performed externships in Arizona and Georgia. During these experiences he focused his education on vision therapy and ocular disease.  In May of 2021, Charlie graduated Cum Laude as a Doctor of Optometry.

He and his wife, Payton, recently married and moved to Woodstock, GA. In his free time, Charlie likes to bike, fish, and hike. Charlie has a passion for the community, and is excited to serve Pickens County and the surrounding area.
